09-28-07 Game Plan a Lame Plan

Disney’s The Game Plan a Very Lame Plan

By C. W. Oberleitner
September 28, 2007

The Disney Studio is poised to break into the 2007 billion-dollar box office club. Our reviewer says that, based on the strength of the studio’s latest release, The Game Plan, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, “it’s not bloody likely they’ll make it anytime soon.”

So what. I don't think that there's an original film out there anymore - most are remakes or very close versions of older films.

My kids saw the previews and really want to see it -

Great piece again. I agree and really, Walt Disney Studios in my opinion, hasn't made a good film since the mid-90's. Sadly, they have to really rely on Pixar for original ideas and movie hits. I can see a remake of a one movie but a movie plot that's been used 4 other times? Screw DCA, fix Walt Disney Studios first.

PotC films 2 & 3 are Bruckheimer Films to be technical which is why I left those out. I will admit that I forgot about Remember the Titans so ok, one movie (again it is my opinion) since the mid-90's.
