2nd Round of Haunted Mansions...

OK..so a gal on e-bay just sold an 'open edition' HM for $450.00 buy-it-now, she said Disneyland just rec'd THREE each and they sold out instantly...then something about a RUMOR that they'd only be getting maybe another 100ea or so. ?!?!?!?! Chuh? If that's true, they are going to be even harder to find than the first editions! I want my HM..I NEEEEEEEED my HM!!

Has anyone else heard anything?? Back in early July Disneyana said they were expecting more inventory at the end of July....today's the 29th...can't much more 'end of July'....

dang, I too have been waiting. I got all the pieces for my table but skipped Mark Twain and HM hoping to catch up to them later - big mistake

OK NOW I can sleep...VICTORY was mine this morning on E-bay! I managed to outbid for a HM!! -- a mere shelling out of $805.33 (CRIKEYS!!). ::wipes the sweat from her brow::

er..sorry Dusty, but a girl needs her beauty sleep n' I wasn't getting any without that big piece!

Just an FYI:

I just got the email from Olszewski about the Mansion being available again. I called deliver ears and was told they just ran out again but to keep trying as they expect more this week. Kind of frustrating.

I also snoozed on the online orders for the next release...

Not my day... lol

And this morning there are no less than 4 for sale on E-bay ;-) if y'can't wait til this weekend to own one, one is even a 1st edition yet.

FYI:

Called again this morning as instructed and was told nothing in stock until next week. I'll call again Thursday anyways to see. I'm trying to avoid ebay for now.

I agree, seems the ebayers are on the $$ bandwagon, they totally have our number, preying on us poor vulnerable sleepdeprived collectors who waited too long to buy our pieces and must now endlessly search the bowels of ebay....I can see the 1st editions going for a premium but am surprised at the opening bids for the now releasing 'Open Editions'....that said, I HAPPILY forked over my crazy 1st edition price just to end the seemingly nonending quest, so it is, what it is!

It's a beautiful piece, but this is getting ridiculous. If I can't get it for $295 less discount on 8/4, forget it.

..to answer Scott7858, we're all talking about the Olszewski Disneyland Main Street miniature collection, specifically the Haunted Mansion and its just recently being released as an Open Edition.

I was told to try again next week when I called again Tuesday morning. This conflicts with the earlier instructions to call again this week. But I'll keep trying and post as soon as I get it.
