Port Orleans French Quarter - Renos?

Does anyone happen to know when the hotel rooms was last renovated? This is going to be our BIG trip for a few years and I wanted to make sure I picked a nice hotel. Thanks

Hey there! I spent Christmas there last year and the rooms had just been renovated. They're very nice. I've stayed at Port Orleans a couple of times through the years and I just love it. It's pretty, relaxing, and just a nice peaceful place to come home to after a long day in the parks. You'll love it. We knew that some rooms had been updated and some were in the process, so we made sure to ask for one of the new rooms....just a little tip.

Late 2010 into spring of 2011 they redid all of the rooms.

Yeah, when we went in September 2011 they had completed most of the renovations. Our room was great! Love POFQ!

Me, too!! Had a great time at POFQ! My room was just a short walk to the rivers edge and I spent every morning there, watching people, shuttle boats and horse drawn carriages.
"In many ways, the work of a critic is easy. We risk very little yet enjoy a position over those who offer up their work and their selves to our judgment. We thrive on negative criticism, which is fun to write and to read. But the bitter truth we critics must face, is that in the grand scheme of things, the average piece of junk is probably more meaningful than our criticism designating it so. But there are times when a critic truly risks something, and that is in the discovery and defense of the new. The world is often unkind to new talent, new creations, the new needs friends." - Anton Ego
