Christmas Themed Restaurant

Ok, I've been trying to figure this out, but to no avail. Maybe one of the mice chatters who have lived in Florida for a long time will know.

I used to come down to visit my grandparents every year. The lived in Brookridge Park, near Brooksville. On US19, or just off of it was a Christmas themed restaurant. I want to say it was the Paw Paw Tree, but I'm not sure. Can anyone help me with this? It is driving me nuts. I'm sure it is closed down, but it is just something that I can't seem to stop thinking of.

Nevermind, my wife found it. It was the Paw Paw Tree in New Port Richey. But, does anyone know when it closed?

Re: Christmas Themed Restaurant

I have been in Orlando for almost 29 years and I don't even know where I-19 is. I know I-4, and US 192... but I-19?

Re: Christmas Themed Restaurant

I found something on Google that's a scan of the St Petersburg Times dated 1986 that had an ad for the restaurant, so it was still around in 1986 at least. That's the only info I could find on it.

And it was indeed called the Paw Paw Tree.

Re: Christmas Themed Restaurant

The Bubble Room is in Sanibel/Captiva, which is WAY south of New Port Richie (2-3 hours south). Apparently there's one in St Augustine as well.
