Question Online Dining Reservations

We have not planned a trip to Disney since they began the online dining reservation system. We are now one of the people within the 180 days, though we can't book until they officially change over from 90 days to 180 days at the end of October. What time can we actually go online and make reservations? Is it midnight or do we have to wait until the reservation lines actually open at 7?

Re: Online Dining Reservations

I, too, asked that same question when I adjusted my upcoming room reservation with Disney CRO. I was told that even though you can make reservations 24hrs a day, the online system does not "recognize" a date change until 7am the following day (when cancellations from the previous day are released). So, based on that, you would need to wait until 7am on the 90th day out to make the online ressies.

Personally, when I made ours, I was online AND on the phone at the same time. If the Disney agent got me a better time than what I got online, I went with that one. And visa versa. After all ressies were set the agent had no trouble deleting the duplicate ADR's, if there were any. I would also suggest going back online a day or two afterwards and verifying all the ressies that you made (make sure to write down every confirmation# you get as you will need those).

Thank you for the information! Our problem is the fact that we are already within the 180 days and will be one of the people trying to call in on the 27th (when they change from 90 to 180) with everyone else that will already be within that 180 day period. Keep your fingers crossed for me! I think the lines will be quite flooded that morning!

Re: Online Dining Reservations

People have reportedly been able to get online at 3 am Eastern time the day their window opens. When I tried I couldn't get on at all, it wouldn't recognize my ressie. Turned out an old phone number I hadn't used in 10 years attached itself and I didn't know it. Booked at 7 and got in immediately. But next week may be a huge mess by 7, so I'd try to get online at 3. Good luck, I think you may need it.

Re: Online Dining Reservations

Thank you! I completely agree - it is going to be one busy morning for Disney! I will definitely have to try to get online at 3am and see how that goes. I'll keep you posted!

So how'd you do? I just changed an ADR for Dec from the 14th to the 12th with no trouble. Hope you have as much luck as I.
