I have heard through a grapevine (and read on other boards) that LeCellier is slated to become a Signature before year end which includes menu changes, and price increases/# of credits for the DP... I really really really hope not~ or are at least delayed until when I will be home after Oct 26.
Anyone truly in the know about this?
I wouldn't be surprised. They have better food and better service than the California Grill.

On the other board, the rumor is coming from the father of a girl who works at Le Cellier, so I'm not putting too much faith in it just yet. But I would be unhappy with this as well. It would just mean higher prices for the same quality...

Yes, they do keep up with great serving standards at Le Cellier Steakhouse, especially with the interns from Canada working there. Who knows what will be in the future for this restaurant... but I have heard similar changes are in the works. Price increases are pretty standard for something that popular and packed, so as long as the experience isn't lessened, it's not "declining by degrees," it's just capitalism. I'm quite surprised it isn't a signature restaurant already, since reservations are booked months in advance and the place is constantly packed, apparently. According to AllEarsDeb, beginning March 1, 2011 it will be 2 table service credits, but for dinner only.
Disney hasn't officially announced yet, but Deb is always reliable.

Seems like a reasonable compromise, cuts down demand for the busiest time of day while leaving a more affordable option, at least in meal plan terms.

Ya, I read that yesterday as well. Will there be a significent price increase for dinner then if you are just paying out of pocket?
I'm guessing a slight increase like most of the menus but not a huge one. Le Cellier has always been hard to get into due to the combination of limited seating and being the best value at Epcot on the dining plan. Now that title shifts over to Chef's De France baring any major menu changes next year.

The rumor is they're also upgrading the menu at Le Cellier for dinner as well for dinner, so I guess prices might go up if they really upgrade the dinner menu?
