Best way to get to Holyland Experience...

So me and some friends are coming to WDW in September to take advantage of the free dining plan.

On one of our days we are planning on going to the "holyland experience" park also in Orlando.

Has anyone visited there from WDW and if so can you tell me how much in general a cab fare would be?

Also any suggestions on how to best get there...

    thanks!

Round trip cab fare would range from $120 to $150. You might as well rent a car and drive yourselves. It's pretty much a straight shot down I-4. But keep in mind Holyland Experience has no rides or attractions of the sort you would find at WDW. It just has reproductions of the environs and locales of first century A.D. Jerusalem, and actors recreating scenes from the New Testament in the Bible. But if that is what you are looking for, you will enjoy it.

Wow I diden't realize it would be sooo expensive..

Are there any rental facilities within WDW property? If so where?

    Thanks...

There's an Enterprise at the MK parking lot in the back by the Car Care Center.

I think Coronando Springs or either the Swan or Dolphin has a Enterprise desk as well.

And The Holy Land Experience is practically right next to I-4. It's well past even Universal and actually closer to downtown Orlando. I noticed the sign for it for the first time when driving home from a conference at UCF back in February.

This has got to rank pretty high up there in the worst ideas ever category.

We don't hear very many good things about the Holy Land Experience. Not much shade. Dispassionate shows and reenactments. Expensive for what it is. And some find the commercialism distasteful given the theme.

Not to get into a religious discussion, but many have commented that the Holy Land Experience seems historically and biblicaly incorrect and is geared toward promoting a very specific fundamentalist point of view.

But I haven't been. I'm just relaying the things that have been told to me and that I've read since the park opened. Certainly, there are some people who enjoy it. But there are also people in this world who enjoy going to the dentist.

If that's the sort of thing you are looking for, then go for it - they could use your money.

    Thanks for the replies...

I for one, don't really want to be visiting this place, its more my friends who are adamant about seeing it.

I have also read alot of bad reviews on the place, i.e no shade, unhistorical etc...

I'd love to visit Universal on that day, so maybe I will suggest that....

So question on the rental car, I would prefer to get one through Enterprise as I do work for GEICO and can get a good discount through them. Aimster you had mentioned a location inside the TTC parking lot? I tried doing a search on the Enterprise site and it only lists a location off property on World Center Drive. Is this location at the TTC just a desk location or a full on branch?

I'm just looking for the most convient option to get into a car for a day while there...

    Thanks!!

I have never been to the Holyland Experience and probably never will. However, if you want a good laugh you should check out Bill Maher's Religulous. It has a section where he goes to the Holyland Experience.

I have never been there, but last year or so it was taken over by a TV network, and they show stuff on their channel from there - Trinity Broadcasting network, i think....

You would take I -4 East to conroy Rd, then turn left then turn right. I don't know their parks hours or how much it costs to park and pay to get in.

As far as rental cars, alamo is what you will find at the Car Care center. check our mousesavers.com for discount codes and info.
