The wife and I are booked Oct 3-17th at the Riverside. It's our 3rd stay at the Riverside. We have been in June (Extremely Hot!) and in November (Nice, but a little too cool for the pools). We got to see the Food and Wine Festival for 1 day when we went in November, and it was an absolute blast! We decided that very day to make our next trip during October in order to spend multiple days tasting everything. You're going to have an absolute blast. :-) Any questions about Riverside etc, feel free to ask. -D | |

![]() | Re: October or March? the latest day Magic Kingdom is open is on Sundays because of Extra Magic Hours. since you're staying on property, you have the privilege of being able to stay in the park during Extra Magic Hours. if you do decide to go on Sunday, get the smaller rides/shows done during the day, when the lines aren't that packed. during your stay in October, try to not use fast passes. the parks are all dead in October and they'll be no need for them. the most crowded park you'll encounter is Magic Kingdom. the least crowded park will be Hollywood Studios. try not to plan your day out. just plan your meals. go with the flow of the day at a specific park and try to get the majority of things your kids want to do. you're going to be at the resort for 7 days so pace yourself. there's no need to rush you and your family through the parks. if you plan on going to the water parks, go during the week and go first thing in the morning. those parking lots are quite small and fill up quickly. even though the parks are dead during October, CMs currently get into the water parks for free during this time, so you're not fighting against other guests to get into the water parks. you're fighting against CMs. haha! if you are planning on doing some souvenir shopping in the parks, take advantage of Package Pick-Up since you'll be staying on property. they take your purchases and send them directly to your room so you don't have to haul them around the parks, esp. w/ 3 boys. try to eat at the hotels instead of at the parks. the food's better at the hotels. i think your 3 boys would get a kick out of The Whispering Canyon restaurant at the Fort Wilderness Lodge. it has a Western/cowboy feel to it. try to go during breakfast & lunch. dinner's a little pricey there. other than that, what are your 3 boys' favorite characters? |

![]() | Re: October or March? Wow! Thank you very much for the great advice! Lots of great information! We are super excited for this trip! The only thing our boys want to talk about at dinner time is our trip which will be in 11 more days! As for our boys favorite characters, I would have to say the Pixar characters! Thank you once again for all of the wonderful advice! Last edited by azolivas; 09-29-2009 at 08:50 PM. |
