    Planning WDW vacation

I've been many times and I plan on bringing my mom who hasn't been on vacation in a very long time. She has been to Disney before but not since 2002. I was wondering what you guys would suggest to keep things exciting other than the rides at the park. I'll also be paying for everything myself and would like to keep it cheap. I plan on going for a week around late December.

    Re: Planning WDW vacation

We love sitting on the beach at the Polynesian and watching the Electric Water Parade and the Wishes fireworks from there. You can also see them from areas at the Grand Floridian and the Contemporary resort. Take a walk around the Boardwalk. Downtown Disney is free. Lots of things to just "look" at there. I would recommend the dining plan. It does save you money in the long run. Hope you two have a great time!
