Can you take a boat from the Port Orleans Hotel to DTD?
Yes you can. Both Riverside and French Quarter have a boat to DTD. It's a great, relaxing trip and one of the perks of this resort, in my opinion.

Did you get the dining plan that includes table service?

If so, have you made your reservations yet? The most popular WDW restaurants begin booking up 6 months in advance, and during busy times (like spring break) very few of them accept walk-ins.

Decide in advance which days you'll likely be doing which parks, and book your reservations accordingly ASAP if you haven't already. Trust the yeti; he knows.

Yes we have reservations made already, one breakfast, and the rest Dinners.
I don't think that you can make overlapping reservations, but we think that we will be happy with our choices.
    Thanks

Re: We're Goin' to Disney World.

We had a fantastic week at The Walt Disney World Resort.
We used Fairy Godmother travel and Teresa was great, very easy to deal with over the phone or by email, She saved us a lot of $$ too.

We stayed in the Alligator Bayou at Port Orleans.
The room was OK, but nothing to write home about.
All of the cast members were courteous and friendly.

    Day1:
Our first stop was EPCOT, and our first ride was Spaceship Earth. I kinda had to drag the family on that one, but they were all glad that we rode it, and all enjoyed it.
    Our next destination: Mission Space.
I get how they do the High G's but how do they do the negative G's?
Anyway, that ride is not my cup of Tea, but it was a pretty intense thrill.
Test Track, now that's a good ride, I hope radiator springs racers will go as fast.
I dragged the family on to Ellen's Energy Adventure, and they were all pleasantly surprised.
After EPCOT, we wanted to go to The Magic Kingdom.

The Park Hopper option was so nice, We really liked the flexibility of being able to go to whichever park that we wanted to, and visited at least two parks each day of our visit, one day we even did three, but that was when we had Extra Magic hours, so we stayed at the Magic Kingdom until 3:00 A.M..

Riding a working Monorail Transportation system was one of my highlights.
We took the Monorail from EPCOT to the Transportation hub, and then took the boat over to the Magic Kingdom. What a nice ride.
Having grown up near Disneyland and visited so many times, The Magic Kingdom was so familiar, and then again so new.
I liked how the entrances were so much larger with lot's of train memorabilia underneath the Main Street Station.
My Favorite was Tomorrowland. With the PeopleMover (TTA), The Rocket Jets up where they belong, and The Carousel of Progress turning, It reminded me of the Tomorrowland that we used to have at Disneyland when I was a kid.
Space Mountain was great, The lift hill reminds me of the Matterhorn bobsleds, but smoother and faster in the dark.
If you have been to Disney Wold and like The Pirates of Caribbean attraction, you have to come out to California. I think that you will really like our version.
