All Aboard Florida Gets Land To Complete Miami-Orlando Rail Link

Orlando is actually getting lightrail called Sunrail. They're building it in phases nowbut the track is basically going to parallel the existing CSX tracks from Sanford to somewhere south of Orlando. That's great news for us Orlando Residents as it'll take some traffic off I-4 and US Hwy 17-92.

And it's not a light rail nor does it go to high volume passenger destinations like the theme parks and big airports.

You are right in that it's not light rail, Sunrail is actually Commuter Rail and no it doesn't go to any of the parks which does benefit local Orlando area residents that work in Orlando and live in the suburbs. The total length of the track will be about 61 miles from DeLand in the north to Kissimmee and Poinciana in the south.
