Question Military/Florida Resident Discount WDW Tickets?

I am looking for a 4 or 5 day park hopper for a friend who is both in the military and a Florida resident. Would the best bet be to get tickets with the Florida discount, or does anyone else have suggestions for cheaper tickets? Thanks!

Check out the Florida resident 4 Day Play pass. You pay a bit more for the park hopper option and if you want the no expiration option (otherwise it expires 6 months from the first use). This is what I get and they're a pretty good deal.

Even if it's not cheaper remember Shades of Green has no tax and it's the best place I've stayed at WDW so far!

The ticket prices on allears.net takes the tax variation into consideration. The prices listed are 'after tax'.

And I agree - Shades of Green is an excellent value The military prices are great - but the Florida ones are just cheaper.

I would suggest you contact Eric at Orlando Fun tickets, he's the WDW forum sponsor for MiceChat and specializes in discount tickets, he may be able to shave a few bucks of the FL residency rate for you.

Re: Military/Florida Resident Discount WDW Tickets?

If you want the exact price on the Play 4 days pass, they're as follows including tax for an adult:
base= 169.34
base+non-expiring=195.96
Park Hopper=193.30
Park Hopper+Non-Expiring=219.93
Base+4 fun visits (Water parks, disney quest, and/or pleasre island)=195.98
Base+4 fun visits+non-expiring=222.59
Park Hopper+4 fun visits=219.93
Park Hopper+4 fun visits+Non-Expiring=246.57

Or you could opt for a seasonal or annual pass.
The seasonal had block-out dates from June 7-aug 14, Dec 31-jan 3,09, but it only costs 244.95 for an adult.
If you want to go to the Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, without blockout dates, you can get the FL RES annual pass for 372.75.
Or, if you want to be able to have Admission to the Magic Kingdom Park, Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios and Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park, Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park, Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, DisneyQuest Indoor Interactive Theme Park, Downtown Disney Pleasure Island and Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex. you can do the FL RES premium annual pass for 488.86

Just depending on the time of year you want to come down, it may make the most financial sense to upgrade those tickets to annual or seasonal passes.

If you have any more questions, just let me know, and I'll tell you anything I'm allowed to ;-)

Regina

OR you could just contact the Macdill Military base in Tampa, FL and get the Play 4 Days Pass without tax and save both ways.

Not to take any money away from our wonderful resident discount providers, I just always buy our tickets at Macdill and save twice.

Here is a link to the travel agency they have on site.

http://www.macdillservices.com/itt.html

I don't know if you can buy them over the phone but it includes their number.

He's mentioned in the past (to me at least) they can't do that. They're currently working on being able to offer the FL resident tickets but as of now they're not being offered through Orlando Fun Tickets.

Re: Military/Florida Resident Discount WDW Tickets?

Try this....

Navy Times - Active-duty, National Guard, Reserve, and retired military personnel who don’t live close to a military base can get mail-order discount tickets to Disney World.

The discounts vary depending on the ticket you buy, said Christine DeMichael, a spokeswoman for Disney Military Sales, which has offered discounted tickets to military families for more than 20 years at ticket and tours offices on military bases. A $12 service charge applies.

Officials said this new option is for those who may not live near an installation. Call the Navy ITT office in Orlando at 407-855-0116.
