    Exclamation USH needs more?

So I have not been to Universal Studios in 2 years, and i go with my friends today and here's what my thoughts are on the park.

    The Good
Lines are short for the most part
All day food pass is easy to use with a group of people
    Tickets just 40 dollars
    Water World Still ROCKS
The Simpsons Ride is btter than the old Back to the Future (I still miss it though)

    The Bad
    1)Fear Factory Live is Fake
2)The Universal Experience si too small and does not have enough set pieces/customs.
3)Universal's House of Horrors sucks and is wasting space.
    4) The Wild West Show Building is just sitting there...put something there?
    5) Finally....
    ADD MORE RIDES!!!
I cant stress this enough, there are 3 rides and the tour....WTF? After being open for so long you would think there would be at least 10 rides...
And there's allot of room for rides
*Coke Soak/side of hill (kids can play at the other play ground)
    *Wild West Show Building
    *Backdraft/Special Effects Stages
    *Shrek 4-D (its on DVD)
    *Universal's House of Horrors

Not to mention T2 is getting kinda old, I don't see why we don't see real rids come to the park to make it more enjoyable. Or at the least change some of the shows after 5 years so people that come every couple of years have new things to see.

Well its not like they really have room to expand. They're on a hill and the rest of the space is studio space

Not expand, but rip out the places nobody uses anymore i.e.the CokeSoak and the Wild West Show theater.

Didn't we just have this conversation earlier this year? It is always going to come down to USH not having the room. The property the theme park has is limited and noise has to be limited due to filming on the lot.

I think the OP means they could put to pasture some of the shows/movies/walkthroughs/playgrounds, and put in a couple more rides. I agree.

USH has ALWAYS needed more to make it a full-day theme park. (Why do you think they close at 6pm every day?)

But because the Theme Park is attached to a studio, it's never going to happen.

    Re: USH needs more?

^^Partly, yes. Also, the locations you mention for possible expansion aren't anywhere near large enough for a Spiderman or Men in Black ride, unless you'd like the ride to be about 10 seconds long. These very same space limitations are why we got the Mummy ride we did: Hollywood had to fit in the old E.T. building, and Orlando's didn't. The space constraints gave us a different (and while fun, clearly inferior) ride.

Also, think about USH's local competition: Disney, Knott's, and Magic Mountain. Any ride USH puts in will be immediately compared to anything one of those parks have, and will probably be inferior, to boot. (People already complain about how weak Mummy is!) Would you want to spend a lot of money for a ride that's going to be small, and the public reaction will be "lame!"? Probably not.

Their strength is being an actual movie studio, and they are probably smart to stay with that as their major plus. They may not have many rides, but they do have a lot of shows. And the tour experience is a one of a kind in the world. I think we locals take that for granted.

...I have had a few friends participate in Fear Factor Live, and trust me, it is definitely not fake! They actually eat those nasty Bug milkshakes, and there's no real way to fake hanging onto the handles. Furthermore, those eels in the tank are real as well, which has recently sparked one of my friends' interest in animal cruelty laws, etc.

For the record, I don't think it's fake either... but it's not a very good show for the park. Fortunately, they will be getting rid of it by the end of this summer... so your animal rights friend needn't bother getting too worked up...
