    Halloween Horror Nights Question

Hello. I have a question concerning Halloween Horror Nights 18 at Universal Studios and hoped one of you guys could help me out.

My question is, would you allow your 15 year old son and his trustworthy 15 year old friend to go to Halloween Horror Nights alone, together? That's basically the simple question. But, one parent would be at the resort, just not in the park itself - they'd either be in Citywalk or at one of the on-site hotels, so in other words, 15 minutes away should anything go wrong. They'd both have cell phones and would stick together. The son in question has never been in any trouble alone and is a responsible person.

What do you think? Allow them to go or not? Thanks for any insight.

Depends on if you would like them exposed to drunk people, violence and other inappropriateness that they most certainly will come across. My advice would be to check out the shows like "Bill and Ted's Excellent Halloween Adventure" on Youtube, as well as footage from the houses.

It's not so much what he'd be exposed to - he's seen things far worse than Bill and Ted, he's fine with intense haunted houses (gore and such), and of course drunk people. It's more of the saftey that I'm concerned about.

HHN is only dangerous if you're irresponsible. You know your son better than we do. That said, I was going by myself at his age.

No. HHN has some PG-13 content, but there's no age restriction on anything except the alcohol. They were toying with the idea of an adults-only "extreme house" at one time, but it never occurred, likely for liability reasons. Checking everyone's age would also be a nightmare considering how long the lines already are.

I think they should be okay, as long as they don't start trouble. Or when they see trouble, they go in the opposite direction. I have been going to Horror Nights for the past 3 years and I haven't see any violence.
