    Well, the last two rides Knott's added were Sierra Sidewinder and Pony Express... and while both are "firsts" in the US, neither are noted for being biggest, tallest, etc. Just fun. So I'd argue Knott's is continuing the tradition!

    I had once heard that Knott's would never bring back Berry Tales, because it would draw too many comparisons to Disney, and they simply don't have the budget to compete with that. It's a no win situation for them... if they don't put one in, people complain about the lack of dark rides, and if they do put on it, people will complain about what a feeble effort it is. While sad, I can't blame them.

    Yeah I talked to the Representitives during Haunt. They said, That its very unlikely.

    My Son said he would love to revive Bear-y Tales or make it a different form On a Disney film like Robin hood(since the ride's scenes look familar to the movie's because Rolly Crump Said he wanted the scenes to be a little resemblence to the wonderful Disney movie) For Disneyland.If Disney got Bear-y Tales it would of been wonderful to see it again.Funny but I would love to see my boy do that.

    I know someone else here has to remember the Soap Box Derby when it had the motorcycles instead! (The actual name slips my memory) I do remember having to hang on for what felt like dear life when you were on the motorcycles, at least compared to the soap box racers.

    Man I miss that ride....

    I remember that too.The Workers had to change it because of how dangerous it was.I still remember the original before it was changed.

    Wow, thanks for those lyrics. I did not know the song was the long. I bought the dvd copy of the ride and it's history from Extinct Attractions and on the menu area is where the song is played, but it did not have as many stanza's that you have. I believe there is only 4 or maybe 5 stanza's, along with the chorus and then in between each stanza, there is lengthy instrumentals playing. Thanks for sharing this.

    I remember the motorcycles, prior to the Soap Box Derby, but I like the Soap Box Derby much better for it's theming. It was great until they let it go into disrepair. I remember standing in the que area and at the very beginning of the ride, once the vehicles started, they played Doodles Weaver (from Spike JOnes fame) calling the race (it is actually an excerpt from one of the singles from Spike JOnes). "It's car #1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Jack, hit me again delaer" or something like that.

    Remember the model T cars that were adjacent to the Soap Box Derby???

    No not anymore.The figures of the ride at the time i worked in the funhouse were removed because of Cedar Fair always removing stuff to make any park they purchase their own.I work in the design department of haunt and saw many of the figures in there.I had to remove all of the characters furs to turn them into haunt props I have some of the character's Furs put away in The department because I really didnt want to get rid of them.As for the frogs they were turned into some weird spider stuff and creatures.I have some of the frogs at home that were about to be haunt props.

    I have the DVD too and When the theme was cutted down I was Like wow they did'nt have it fully.I would Love to hear The whole theme If anyone Has it.
