Yesterday (Saturday) my friend and I decided to go for a hike/nature walk and decided on Charmlee County Wilderness Park. It's above Malibu, just off Encinal Cyn. Rd. about 4 miles from P.C.H. It has many trails to walk on and has beautiful views of the Pacific.
Thereís a nature center, which caters to school groups (it was closed for the day when I was there) and a nice picnic area nearby with what appears to be an ďamphitheatreĒ for group activities.
The following are some photos of the wildflowers that are blooming all over the park this time of year. They were really spectacular.
This is the vine of a wild cucumber. I thought it was so cool how the tendrils just grab onto anything and everything in itís way.
And hereís a wild cucumber on the vine. Very pod people looking.
More to come...
