OK, I'm going to Vegas, and I have a choice between Monte Carlo or New York New York. Which should I choose?

New York New York.
There are more attractions and things to see
and do then there is at Monte Carlo.
I prefer New York New York. The hotel seems to be cleaner as a whole....and there is quite a bit to do at that hotel for people 21 & up and 21 & under. Oh, and they have a rollercoaster too.![]()

The Monte Carlo isn't up to the standards it was a few years ago, so go with NYNY, you'll probably enjoy it more. And you won't spend much time in your room anyway...it's Vegas!
For the same reasons everyone else listed, I'd say go with NYNY. Plus, it's an easy walk (just across the bridge) to a bunch of other places (like Excalibur, Luxor, MGM...).
I've stayed at both and I'd say NYNY. It's more centrally located and both have nice rooms.
I absolutely LOVE Monte Carlo, they have an AMAZING Pub there and make their own beer. If that's a plus for you, then I'd suggest it.
Also, you can catch the monorail from the Monte Carlo to the Bellagio which in-turn gives you easy access to Ceasars, Paris, Bally's, Planet Hollywood, etc.
Monte Carlo is also just a 5 minute walk to NY/NY and all of the other hotels accessible from there (MGM, Excalibur, Luxor, Mandalay Bay, etc)

There is not a monorail that runs through
New York New York to Caesar's Palace.
There is one that runs from the Excalibur
to Mandalay Bay. But that one is more
of a tram.
The true monorail runs on the east side
of the Strip which is from the MGM Grand
to the Hilton.
I didn't say NY/NY. I said from Monte Carlo to Bellagio. But your right, it's more of a tram and not the new Monorail.

The coaster is truly awful; has gone from from rough to nearly unbearable. It's beyond Viper and the late Psychlone. Last year was only the second time in my life I couldn't wait for a coaster to end; the other was over 40 years ago when I was five!
Still, that said, the NYNY would be my hotel preference. I'd be more likely to gamble at MC, though, since I look for lower table minimums (while watching for abominations like 6-5 BJ payouts).
A bientot.
