I hadn't ventured out here in quite a while, so figured it was due time...the aquarium had recently undergone a quite large renovation and update of some areas, so it was good to see it all finished. Onwards to photos...

At the end of one of the exhibits, John Cleese randomly sits on a video screen and reads about water.


Then he looks up and stares at you in an unnerving manner. BEST. AQUARIUM. EVER.

Monterey Bay Aquarium has been a long-time fave of mine. Haven't been since 2000 though; but might have a chance later this summer.

'Ditto on this question. It looks like it has to do with the deep-sea research out in the bay. (Those who have been there or otherwise research it will have learned there's a big underwater canyon out in the bay.)

Yes, it is mainly for kids, it's a big video screen with little monitor screens and could pull up video and information mostly about the deep sea critters and environment.
