As anyone who owns a camera knows that water and cameras just don't go together, I was pleasantly surprised with a waterproof camera for my birthday. Anxious to try out all it's wonderful features (it has 4 different underwater settings) my daughter and I hopped in the car and headed to Adventure Island.
Adventure Island is located in Tampa, FL, right next door to Busch Gardens.
Should you wish to see all the photos I took today, please visit here.
We hit the first big pool and I admit I was a little apprehensive to dunk the camera in the pool.
But I quickly got over it and had a ton of fun!
My little cliff jumper.
The first big ride we took on was Wahoo Run, an indoor/outdoor family tube ride.
Waiting patiently!
View isn't bad either.
Wave pool!
Ready?
And go!

Next we went on two smaller slides right next door.
Weeeeeeeee!!
Monkey wanted to check out the kiddie area.
I would never get this close with my other camera. LOL
HEY!
Bottoms Up!
Who doesn't love a good lazy river?
The views are pretty awesome.
Ahhhhhhhhh....
C likes it.
Next we made our way over to this massive inner tube ride. (Sorry I forget the name)
Got a tube? Check!
Here we go!
Woohoo!!
Help!
And this is the pic that I accidently took as my tube flipped over at the exit. Was total fun..
Next up, the middle drop!
And this was Christina's reaction to her first drop slide. She went on 4 more times. No line, in August, can you imagine?
She's in there, somewhere. LOL
Back to the lazy river...what? How else are we going to get to the other side of the park and go on those rides?
Look at the abs...I mean...GREAT SPLASHING HONEY!
Next we did some more tube rides, C opted for the enclosed side, I went with the open one.
Splash down!
This ride was a lot of fun, you kind of skipped across the water like a skipping stone.
To end the day we headed towards the wave pool and finished one round before that imposing storm in the background showed up. But not before we took some last minute pics.
I'm completely in love with my new camera (Olympus Stylus Tough 6000, for those that want to know) and I know there are plenty of rides at WDW that I want to test it out on. The splash down on Splash Mountain for example.
Have a magical day!
The End
