I dunno, Haunt hasn't been the cash cow it was in years past over the past few years.

I think at the VERY least, this could mean even MORE corporate sponsoships coming into the parks and **shudder**the further de-theming of Ghost Town at Knotts**shudder**.

I wonder if the Knott family is regretting not selling to Disney now.

In hindsight I think Disneybwoukd have been the best owner of the park and would have preserved things the best.

I highly doubt it. If Disney wanted to buy Knotts they would have tried again when Ceder Fair started running it into the ground.

Personally, I'm thrilled that Knott's was sold. I have never liked what Cedar Fair did to that Park. They cheapened it and took most of the charm out of what Knott's used to be & represent.

I'm praying and hoping that the new company will bring back what Knott's has been missing for sooooo many years! There is much that needs to be done to that Park to get it back to it's glory again!

Keeping my fingers crossed & begging for good changes to come!

Before DCA I would have said no way but Disney has no problem trying to appeal to the teen crowd. I just don't see the Disney name being tied to a place that has the halloween haunt and mostly rollercoaster. I'd love to see it just because they'd clean it up but on the other hand I want all of their resources fixing DCA and Tomorrowland in the next few years.

why would Disney want to buy competition just down the road when everyone is saying how the park is being strangled out of existance? Why pay for competition that will die on its own? And why would Disney want another park across town when they have property just around the corner waiting for development?

Disney is best just to sit back and watch it all unfold.

Everytime you turn around Cedar Fair is being sold to some other corporate entity. It's reaching the point where the theme park chain changes owners as often as people breath. It's like an orphan that's constantly in search of new foster parents.
