Great Wolf Lodge in the Dells
We're heading there for a teen trip, and we also will be skiing on Cascade Mountain, although I probably won't ski as I have a bad knee. (Whoohoo! Tubing!) What should I expect from the water park, has anyone tried the MagiQuest, and what are the group rooms like?
Re: Great Wolf Lodge in the Dells
I haven't been to the WI one.. but from my understanding they are all pretty similar
magicquest is aimed at pre-teens... probably more about age 7-11
the group rooms - by that do you mean the themed rooms? They are nice, but nothing crazy. Most kids just love having bunk beds and their own space away from the adults, etc. TV's near the beds, etc.
The water parks are pretty standard, kiddie play areas, slides, some tube rides, hot tubs, etc - nothing over the top. Ours had a standing wave attraction too (where you bodyboard or surf the wave). They are a great get-away when you go without the peak prices... because the prices are pretty reasonable when you include the water park, etc.

Just got done spending 4 nights at The Great Wolf in WA. Had fun. Magiquest may be aimed at the younger audience, however kids of all ages enjoy it. My 2 yo love to wave his wand and make things light up. I had fun doing the quests and fighting the dragon. Can be a good workout as you are going up and down flights of stairs. Just don't cheat and use the elevator.

Hm... Thanks for the advice! My friend and I will probably enjoy it as we have a tenancy to act like small children at such events.

I've stayed at BWL a couple times, definitely a good waterpark and theme, I loved it!
Re: Great Wolf Lodge in the Dells
I've heard a couple of reviews on the net that it was really dirty when they went there. (This one lady had horror stories about blood all over the linens). Has anyone ever had this problem?
Re: Great Wolf Lodge in the Dells
We go to the one in Williamsburg...we have been twice with no problems. It's fairly clean and the rooms are awesome. :D
