    Knott's Berry Farm and "size"

I've never been to KBF, but decided to go this week. I had no worries, but after reading some things online I keep seeing size and weight issues come up. Then I notice the KBF website lists that if you have a waist of 40" or weight 225 lbs, you might be restricted. Now, this is just about exactly where I am. 40" waist and about 215 lbs. I've never not been able to ride anything at any of the Disney parks, so this never occurred to me that I might not be able to ride everything at KBF and I'm sweating it.

So for any of you guys out there, are there any rides I'm more likely to run into an issue? I'd rather just avoid those rides I think.

Re: Knott's Berry Farm and "size"

we're slowly making our way thru Knott's with a couple hours here and there on our trips, but my husband went on Sierra Sidewinder this week and was able to fit in a seat. he's 6'5" and 300lbs. granted, a very very very small person would have had to have sat next to him, or he would have needed to go alone like he did.

we also have no problems on Pony Express. haven't been on any of the other thrill rides/coasters yet so can't comment there

oh, and we fit on the stagecoach just fine, yeehaw!

Thanks, Elly! I really appreciate the info on those rides. I'd been really excited to go somewhere new and this stuff put a big damper on it.

I'm a big guy myself, about your size, so I know from experience what is okay, I have only had problems on Silver Bullet and Xcelerator but I was still able to ride. Maybe Ghostrider, but I fit in fine when I rode by myself, two people would be a squeeze. Montezuma's Revenge should be fine, Pony Express should be fine but very uncomfortable. Jaguar should be fine as well, maybe a tight squeeze because it's a more of a kiddie ride, but that shouldn't be a problem. The Log ride and Calico Mine you should be fine on, and Perilous Plunge should be fine too. The only one I am unsure of is Boomerang, I haven't ridden it in such a long time but I know the restraints are similar to CA Screamin's which I fit fine on so it should be good as well. Sierra Sidewinder you should also be good on.

That's all I can think of up to this point.

The only ride I've ever had an issue on was La Revolucion, but that's when I was 260, so you should be fine. You should also be fine on Boomerang.

Re: Knott's Berry Farm and "size"

Also, Knott's is VERY good about "size issues", with Test seats in front of some attractions, such as Silver Bullet and Xcelrator, where you can check to see if you will fit into the seat, and that the safety restraints will "work" prior to entering the attraction. For rides like La Revolution, you can always go to the exit and ask for a chance to check out a seat prior to getting in the queue.

Also, some rides have "better" seats for a larger boned person, such as 2 seats on row 4 in Silver Bullet, or a specific seat on La Revolution.

Heck, even Disney will refuse some guests on some of their more "thrilling" rides if the safety restraints won't "lock"... As Always, Safety first.

i'm very very tall and quite large . I've not been able to fit on Xcellerator since they refitted their Seatbelts . Everything else was fine !!!!

On Silver Bullet their is 2 Seats with Longer Seabelts .
