Smile What is your favorite Temple?

We just got be from a trip accross Nevada, Wyoming, Utah, Idaho, and Montana, and many of those States also happened to have
    Beautiful
temples. My favorite had to be the Rexburg, Idaho Temple and the Reno, Nevada Temple. The Rexburg Temple was amzing here in the Middle of Idaho you can see this amazing building granite white building from miles around, and the Reno temple the way it was landcsaped it matched the beutiful desert that surronded it ( Yes I like the desert). Some of the temples we visited: Reno, Rexburg, Provo, Salt Lake, Twin Falls, and the Idaho Falls.
We also had the chance to visit a cute little Catholic church about 3 blocks from BYU Idaho. I love visiting old churches, something about the arcitecture.

Just wonding if any one had their favorite temple, church or other religous building they would like to share.

This is an old Presbyterian church in my town. It was built in 1888, and was the first of its kind here. It's been a derelict since the 1950's, and kids in down always said it's haunted or that bodies of murder victims are buried inside. I'm not sure who owns it, but although it hasn't been in use in decades, somebody still comes and makes sure it stays in good repair.

Coincidentally, it's just one block south of the place where Disney Legend Floyd Gottfredson was born.

My favorite cathedrals are in Toledo, Spain.

This is the main one, where the Archbishop of Toledo lives..

The inside is a wonder of architecture... here is the high altar...

And in the back of the old city of Toledo is the monastery of San Juan De Los Reyes. It's where the officers and enforcers from the Spanish Inquisition brought their victims to be questioned. If you look around the window in the upper left of the picture, you can see the chains and manacles that were used for the Inquisition victims, that were hung there many centuries later as a memorial.

When my sister and I went on a field trip to Andalusia and Madrid, Spain, last year, we saw the big church in Granada, the Cathedral in Seville, the Great Mosque in Cordoba, and the Cathedral in Toledo. They were all magnificent.

I also love seeing pictures of "tiny churches."

(I've never visited Disneyland Resort, Tokyo Disney Resort, Disneyland Resort Paris, nor Hong Kong Disneyland Resort, so don't be fooled when I pretend to know what I'm talking about. [But I'm pretty good with the information, if I do say so myself. And you can hit me all you want with Walt Disney World.])

You would love Toledo. You can see remnants of all the eras of its history, the Roman, Sephardic, Moorish, and Castillian eras.

Rexburg is pretty cool inside - I love how they subtly added wheat stalk carvings as decoration - but, I love the Manti Temple.

Will trade husband for Disneyland and DCA Pins!
