Hotel and motel occupancy in metro Orlando showed positive gains all around for the month of October.
Occupancy for the month was 62.3 percent, up 10.1 percent compared to 56.6 percent occupancy for October 2009, said Smith Travel Research.
The average daily room rate at properties was $93.76, a 2.3 percent increase from $91.61 recorded for the year-ago period.
In addition, revenue per available room — an indicator of the hotel industry’s health — was $58.44, up 12.7 percent from $51.86 last year.
