Botcon 2011! The Official Transformers Convention

Here is a breif trip report from my visit to Botcon 2011, This was my first year attending, after hearing about it for years, so I was really excited to see what all the hype was about. Me and a friend of mine left at 7am in the morning from Tustin, CA. Arrived to Pasadena Convention Center about 8AM, to be greeted by an already huge line. (The convention did not open until 10AM).





They were handing out free Transformer toys to children who were standing in line, always cool in my book.



Once you entered the show floor, you were instantly greeted by the cars from the upcoming Transformer movie. (Ironhide, Optimus Prime, Rachet, Bumblebee and Sideswipe were all in attendance).







Also they had toys for sale. Lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots of toys for sale. Some cheap. Some expensive.

Lastly, there were a lot of GREAT costume's. Transformer fans do not disappoint when it comes to cosplay.















In the end, I had a TON of fun. I met alot of people that I recognized from Youtube and other fan websites. I bought a lot of neat things that I've wanted for quite a while. The whole convention surpassed my expectations. I cannot wait to go next year.

Thanks for the report! I was fully intending on attending this year (It's a 10 minute walk away from me) but I was in OC enjoying Disneyland for four days straight hahaha. BotCon was always a bit too nerdy though... I went a few years back and the questions being asked during the Peter Cullen panel were a bit too much.

The upcoming Unicron repaint/exclusive looks awesome though (not pictured in your report).

I agree. Especially for the price they are asking. They are going to go quick!
