Hey has anyone heard anything more about this new project in Jordan besides the Star Trek thing? There has to be more to it than that!

Yes, actually. There was some concept art floating around about it. It is actually a mega-resort with themed hotels and a few theme parks. A lot of ex-imagineers are working on it. It was being designed by some of the original DisneySEA team and looks to be DisneySEA quality. It also has some huge budget. Something like 2 billion.

I really want to hear more about it. I just hope it doesn't turn out to be another Ferrari world...

Groundbreaking is supposed to take place in March 2012 so we'll see if shovels are in the ground then. King Abdullah II is a big Trek fan so this has the potential to happen. The whole project and its concept sounds very interesting with its emphasis on education and entertainment... almost like something Walt would have done back in the day. We'll see...
