We are going to Disneyland and DCA for 3 days in October. I am trying to decide if it's worth the money to go to Legoland also. We have 5 kids ages 5 to 12 and they all love lego's. Is it worth the money for 1 day?
I vote yes, and I suggest you bring good books that you can read in their scenic park on benches under their many shady trees while the kids go on kiddie rides and go in kiddie play areas. This tree & Lego-enhanced park is PERFECT for six-year-olds, and older kids should have some fun too, but they didn't get Walt's memo on making attractions mostly for the whole family. (Disney's mostly mild coasters might not be for grandpa or many kids six-years-old and younger, but Legoland has some kiddie rides you will not be allowed to ride, like their cool driving attractions.)
I'd vote for Knott's as the Disney alternative, but most of our friends with kids would vote for Legoland.
It really is an attractive park.
I wish Universal Hollywood realized that it is also a park and had more scenic chill spots to eat and drink that took advantage of their amazing (and usually underutilized) hilltop views of the SF Valley.
