Porcupine Gulch - backyard 'amusement' area and train layout.

And yes, as some of you will know, this is my parent's backyard at their home - western-themed and currently being prepared for a garden/backyard railroad open house. New are many custom buildings my father and his brother worked up, and still landscaping, painting, finishing rockwork and etc to do. Starting off with some general photos of the backyard space:

The jail building - still needs a coat of new paint to create the 'adobe' look. Skeletal resident also not pictured - he might even talk to you if you get too close, once in place. (via motion-activated Halloween prop hung at knee level).

Conductor station platform (with control panel for the train box) and water tower, complete with 'endless' water stream that goes into the bucket near bottom of frame.

Inside this mine shack is a motion activated robotic giant spider - leaps forward/up towards the door along with sound effects.

Train box/layout detailing photos coming directly.

And now, for photos inside the train box, which is themed to a western amusement park (and with some recognizable structures for fans of Knott's Berry Farm) -

Not pictured is the 'lake' (currently not filled up with water) that the wooden flume empties into, and the still being carved styrofoam blocks that will be the 'Old Smokey mine ride', a volcano that actually smokes via fog machine attached outside the box, and a loop of track/entrance and exit for a mini-train.
