Re: Knott's Halloween Haunt - How to get Discounts and the prices

If you go on a slow night (ie: Weds, Thurs, Sun) you don't really need the early entrance, i agree. For us its just a 9 year tradition I dont' wanna break

Also for everyone, if you are planning on going on a Friday or Saturday night:
    1. be prepared for out of control brats in the park
    2. be prepared for hour+ waits to get into the mazes
    3. buy your tickets in advance, becuase these are the nights that sell out when they do have sell outs
    4. if a friday or saturday night is the only time you can go, GO! don't miss out on Haunt, it f'ing rules
Will there be screams when the sun sets,

I'm getting them through college student discounts

We always go on Friday or Saturday (usually Saturday) towards the end of the month and although it is crowded I have never had to wait an hour for any maze. The lines are continuously moving, so even when they are long they go by quickly. The rides are a different story. Last year my friends (not me) waited 2 hours for Xcelerator. Getting in takes forever also, that is why we are doing the dinner.

I also feel that the people that are there are a little better than a regular day at Knott's. It attracts an older crowd and I think the price deters many kids/teens.

    Can't wait!

So if I buy tickets to September 28 at the park do I get the $5 discount on that?

With no coupon, yes, you pay $44 instead of $49 if bought prior to the 28th.

But with the coupon, the price is $28, and it doesn't matter if you buy it early, or the day of the event. The best thing to do is to wait and buy it the day of, in case an emergency comes up and you can't go, or if you plan to arrive late.

But buying at the park saves you at least $5 versus buying online thru Ticketmaster. (No surcharges at the Park)

I'll be at the VIP Toyota party on Oct. 1. It's always a scream....

Check this website out for more detailed Haunt history and info. It's one of the best on the 'net.

Got a Mailing that was sent to Knott's Annual Pass Holders.

    The coupons are...

    $24.50 (half price) on September 28th and 29th, and October 1st, 4th, 5th, 8th, 11th, 15th, 18th & 30th.

    $27 on October 12th, 19th, 22nd, 26th, 29th and 31st.

So if you know an AP holder, ask them (there are multiple coupons for each offer in the mailer).

NOW you tell me. I just walked up to Guest relations on Thursday and asked and got the $24.95 price without having a coupon. You can also get multiple tickets for that price for your friends/family/others that don't have an AP (like Universal) just thought I'd mention that.

Haunt was amazing and I can't wait to go again (not sure when it'll be, but soon as the group I was with literally walked into most mazes multiple times.

Re: Knott's Halloween Haunt - How to get Discounts and the prices

Just went to the Haunt last night. I've been many times, and many of the mazes were quite good this year. I was very impressed with the new "Grudge 2" maze. Never saw the movie, but the maze was one of the best ones, IMO.

Also, keep in mind the earlier in the month you go, the less the crowds are. On Oct 1, almost all the mazes (excepting the ride mazes) were walk ons, with no lines whatsoever. In fact, a few times, me and my friend were the only people in the maze aside from the monsters! No one in front of us, and no one behind us. Talk about scary.

In any case, we had done all the mazes (including the ride ones) by 9:00 (allowing for an early entry at 6:30--it usually opens at 7:00). That's pretty fast! But the longer you wait, the longer the lines/bigger the crowds get. So go soon if you go at all!

I'll also be going to USH HHN Oct 21, so I can give a comparison later!
Does anyone even bother with signatures anymore?

    Haunt Rocks!

I was there on Sunday with my husband and another couple. So much fun!!

Great monster action...especially in Ghost Town. Fav. mazes: The Asylum and 13 Ax Murder Manor. The talent was on their game, baby!
