Beary Tales (W/ Link to pic)

I hope this is the right forum for this. As of late many people have been talking about a ride I never got to experience in Knotts Berry Farm called "Beary Tales." I google image searched it and found a picture that kinda made me think of FrogBerto, even though it is a picture of toads!

Here is the image I passed by.

If I can find any more pics, I will post links to them.

I rode it in the Seventies. It was not very sophisticated with a lot of plywood and department store window animatronics. The track was visable throughout the ride and it was way to light inside. The musc still drone in my head todsy.

I vaaaaguely recall this ride as a child. Both Bear-y Tales and Kingdom of the Dinosaurs were my favourites when I was a kid.

I rode this in the 70's as well and still have a few postcards from it. Miss it.

OMG! I totally remember this ride and loved it. It was rather cheesy, but at the same time it was soooooo cute. And who can forget the small during the whole ride...YUMMY!

I actually miss that attraction and wish they bring it back. It was a ride for the whole family to enjoy. It's sad to see that space empty and not used anymore.

It is really one of the best examples of what has gone wrong with Knott's over the years. I took my wife and kids last year and was shocked. I loved this place growing up. Lived about 15 minutes from it. Knott's had a great feel and past to it. Now it's coasterville. You have to love how you come up on the "bottle" shack practically sitting under a coaster now.

Beary Tales was a great escape. The dinosaur ride was terrible in comparison. And as a teenager, it was a great ride to take a girl on. ;-)

Ah, the last memory reminds me of Inner Space...

It was an excellent ride - even today it would be popular with kids and adults reliving their childhood. Even though the animatronics weren't timed to anything, the ride was very immersive with sets, music and characters all originally created for the ride and not based on the latest film or trend.

I've got one of the jumping frogs as a memento
