    Re: Knott's 2007 Coaster Discussion

I bought my first annual pass to Knotts in July 2005, and it's true, the charm that used to be at Knotts is no longer there. Once I saw they took out the Haunted Shack, the rest just went down hill.

Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy going because it's just different and usually not crowded as much as Disneyland. I like the ice skating stage shows they have during the holidays and summer months, and watching the show at the Calico Saloon.

I still think Knotts has charm, but it's now ghetto charm!

At least their annual passes are still under $100, that's nice too!

Name of the Coaster: Sierra Sidewinder

We’ve been talking about it since July and watching the construction take shape, but until now Knott’s has been mum on exactly what they were up to. Today’s Knott’s let the cat out of the bag and unveiled the Sierra Sidewinder, their new spinning coaster from Mack. The fairly unique cars will each hold four riders, two across sitting back to back. The two trains will each be four cars long, so we’re looking at only 16 riders per train. The twisted layout starts with a 39 foot drop from the top of the lift hill where the trains will spin wildly along the course at 37mph. You can find a link to a piece of concept artwork at CoasterRealm.

I read the sign as "California's Free" and thought WHAT? HAHA

Yeah, totally agree with everyone's comments.
