ORLANDO, Fla., Jan. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Tracey Stockwell has been appointed Chief Financial Officer for Universal Orlando Resort, the company announced today.
Stockwell has been with Universal for ten years and previously served as vice president of finance. She replaces Mike Short, who left the company earlier this month.
In her new position, Stockwell will assume primary responsibility for planning, directing and controlling all of Universal Orlando Resort's financial planning and accounting practices. She will oversee all accounting, budgeting, treasury and other financial functions as well as all financial and accounting reporting requirements.
"Tracey's role has grown tremendously - along with our resort - over the last ten years. She has demonstrated outstanding leadership, managerial skills and financial acumen," said Bill Davis, president of Universal Orlando Resort. "She is a talented financial professional who has a strong understanding of our business and our financial needs. We are delighted that she is moving into this critical, senior, role."
Stockwell came to Universal Orlando Resort in 1997. Prior to Universal, Stockwell served as a senior manager for PriceWaterhouse Company in Orlando. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Windsor, in Ontario, and is a Florida Certified Public Accountant.
