Really? I thought it had already closed. Ah well. Much as I am a fan on both BTTF and BTTF The Ride, I am glad to the extent that it means something newer and hopefully better will be coming in, which is certainly somthing USH needs as well.
Last time I rode BTTF at USH, it was not a great experience. The film was old and scratchy, and the special effects were out of date given what we see in film today. It suffers from much the same problem as Star Tours does; unfortunetly unlike Star Wars Back to the Future will always be stuck in the 80's (ironic, since the movies are all about being stuck in other time periods besides 1985), and so will the ride.
And by the way, could we get a little love out her in USH? Give us Spiderman, MIB, or any of the stuff in IOA. USH is just wasting away here, and I would be tempted to visit every once in a while if they gave me a decent reason to.
but you have the studio tour. We can go back and forth on this all day but basicly Hollywood (actual studios, Waterworld, studio tour) and Orlando (MIB, IOA, Mummy, Resort) both have pluses and minuses just like Disneyland Resort vs WDW (which also basicly boils down to history vs size just like Universal .
