    Marvel Super Heroes Show-Down??

I've been suggesting a Marvel stunt show for awhile, and I just found this. Where and when was this?? This www.thestudiotour.com USH fan site doesn't have it listed. So what's the story behind this??

Well it was there a Marvel Mania Restaurant at USH during the late 1990s. The show was possible around that time period.

    Re: Marvel Super Heroes Show-Down??

There was a temporary traveling Marvel Superhero stunt show that was at USF in the mid 90's for kid's month in one year, and I didn't see it the next yr or whatever year it came back for a month again since I didn't have a pass the second time around. I'm pretty sure this same show was at USH too. I don't know if the stuff you listed has any ties with that show or not.

The 1st Marvel show was done up in the park area by where Twister is now and it involved Captain America being honored, and the party was crashed by some of Marvels super villians. The Green Goblin was on his wing right in front of the Ghostbuster fire station facade and they'd lower him down. Spidey came from the roof also climbed down and threw a web net over GG.

I remember Daredevil coming out of one of the windows and walking the ledge and then climbing down a rope with knots in it. Dr Doom attacked from on top of the Macy's building, I think it was Cyclops gave him a blast and took him out, was pretty cool they had the line that snatched him back real quick to look like he's been blown away. I think there also was an explosion of some kind when that happened too. The show had some decent daytime pyro effects.

Magneto also showed up, I think Storm took him out(but maybe with the help of other heroes) she came down on this cool comando swing/slide for life contraption. She came down from on top of the Kong building and a couple of the heroes would be there to help her stop and get out or off of her rigging.

The coolest part of the show for me was when Wolverine came out, he was on top of the building that Finnegan's bar/grill is in, there was a commando line already dropped down and he would litterally run and just jump off the side of the building out towards the park and the people below, he'd hold on to the rope then do a 180 in mid air, swing back to the building and repel/jump down probably 3-4 touches of the builing at max.

I loved that little show I'd sometimes watch every performance of that show the days I was at USF. The pre-show/show music was awesome, one tune I remember was the theme from the X-Men cartoon show and it was really rocked out, very heavy on the guitar.

Sometimes if you do searches online you can find pictures cards that they gave out for the show at USH, maybe for the one at USF too, although I don't remember any cards here in Orlando.

I can feel your pain on wanting a more permanent Marvel stunt show though. Originally there was some sort of attraction named for IoA called X-Men Adventure I never have heard if it was supposed to be a stunt show or another ride or what, I just know it never came to be.
