Re: Last days... Back to the Future?

There are actually people who enjoyed this ride?
The last time I went on it (2004), it was soooo rough and the vehicles were all trashy looking. It was not a very enjoyable experience; and I for one will be happy to see something else, like the Simpsons, in its place. Not a big Simpson's fan, but the idea seems a little newer and everyone knows who they are.
    Change is good.

While I would have much rather seen this ride taken completely down and rebuilt as a brand new Back to the Future ride, there was no way it could stay like it was or even have just a simple refurb. The attraction was extremely outdated and in horrible shape. I'm no big fan of the Simpsons idea but its better than that old worn out attraction that it had become.

As to the rest of your post, what haunted house are you talking about? Is that in the Hollywood park? And I highly doubt we're going to see Jurassic Park close anytime in the next 15 years. At least in Orlando.

The Psycho House shell that sits on USH's Backlot Tour tram has moved before- it was originally built next to Singapore Lake (which was where Jaws is now), and when originally constructed only had two walls. The third was added in 1964, and the shell was completely 'boxed in' for 1982's Psycho II. It was completely rebuilt for 1986's Psycho III.

Upon closer inspection of the Vision Plan, it's highly possible the Psycho House and Bates Motel will move somewhere between Falls Lake and JAWS lake. But they could change or I inspected it wrong.

Went on BTTF today. Only the left side was open and the screen looked clean to me. My guess is they're cleaning the park up for this big event coming up soon.

Don't think Jurassic Park will go away for a very long time. They spent way too much money on that.

It's too bad that E.T. had to go away. They could have made it Steven Spielberg land down there.... just without Indiana Jones that is.

I wouldn't mind Backdraft becoming part of the studio tour where you just drive through it, and they could use that building for something else.... as for the simpsons ride... sounds eh... exciting.

oh and FilmFreak11... what is the big event?

Steven Spielberg already has his own park, so why would he want a lil section of USH?
