I agree with you 100%. I think when DL started offering the "cheap" annual passes, this started to happen there. I have always thought that the only pass to be sold should be the premium IMHO.

    ^ Well, I wouldn't go THAT far.

No way I'm paying premium for 4 people.

I think Disneyland would be a hang-out no matter what. It's not for me because I live so far away (about 75 miles) that when we do go we don't just go to hang out.

Same with SFMM. We go there probably once a month, run in get a few rides in and are generally gone within 3 hours. No need to stay there any longer than we need to.

We were 'supposed' to go yesterday, but our NorCal friends smartly decided they wanted to go to Universal instead.

But I think I may take the kids later this week, maybe Wednesday or Thursday for a few hours.

Excuse me, you know nothing, since you say you live there you should read the local papers more often. There are uniformed police there because they have a substation located INSIDE the park. It was set up over 5 years ago because of the number of guests compared to relative population of the SCV.

I correct the year the additional deputies I was referring to were added. It was in October 2003, not last year. http://www.latimes.com/la-051304sixflags_lat.story. The extra deputies were added inside the park as a result of the lawsuit regarding racial profiling going on at the park. This was due to in part that it was alleged SFMM was "profiling" people they suspected were going to cause trouble in the park. Hey at least they tried, nothing wrong with that. Look at the recent news stories of people causing problems in the park. Just happens to be the same people SFMM was "profiling". Whatever, I just avoid the park and smile everytime I see someone in the back seat of the patrol vehicles leaving the park enroute to their new home at the sheriff's station.

SFMM has always been patroled by the Sheriff's because it is Los Angeles County. It is just because of recent events in the last couple of years, more deputies have had to be added to the park. At least SFMM picks up the tab for these deputies. I would hate to think my tax money was going to protect this place. I would rather just see it closed.

I forgot, what do the local newspapers say?

Re: My first trip to Six Flag Magic Mountain...HELP!

..............12 days, no response, guess the local papers don't say anything. Stick to what's going on in Bellflower.
