Day 3: Even More New York City!
So today I had Marry Poppins in the evening so I decided to head over to American Museum of Natural History. I ended up waking up much later then I planned, and after finally finding the place (I intentionally got myself "lost" in the neighborhood) I arrived!
AMNH has some big balls hanging out for all the world to see
I could stay in the Hall of Northwest Coast Indians all day
"In the tiki tiki Tiki Tiki tiki room"
"I got a rock"
Mild mannered Rocks by day
Super powered Pet rocks by night!
Big Boat... yeah I got nothing
Moving on to Asia
ooo pretty
One of the most awesomest things to come from Mexico besides me
Plenty a bone for everyone in NYC
RAWRRR
That's a nice piece of Tail
You talking to me?
Currently my Desktop for another 20 minutes
By the it was time to head off to Marry Poppins. YAY! Of course it was then that I realized the ticket was in a different set of shorts so off to race back to my friends apartment and luckily I made it back only to miss the first ten minutes. When we were let in I was lead to my row which I guess other people had missed and I thought nothing of it. It wasn't until intermission when people started to ask for autographs that I realized I was sitting next to the Supper Nanny herself, Jo Frost. Thought that was kinda cool. How many people can say they saw Marry Poppins with the Super nanny. Probably not manyAfter the show I got to have a tour of the stage and some of the behind the scenes stuff and it was really freakin cool. By then it was raining so it was off for some pizza and to crash!
Day 4: Travel... yay...
Thursday, June 27, 2007 The day had finally come! Off to Spain I go!
Sadly I don't have any pictures from today as it was really freakin stressful! it started by taking public transportation to the airport, which is pretty easy, just give yourself a LOT of time to get there. So I managed to miss my first flight to Amsterdam because there was a looong line to check in AND the flight was overbooked... great. Luckily there was a flight three hours later so excellent, I was still going to make it. The flight was delayed an hour and a half due to weather making miss my connection... DAMNIT! ok, there was another flight from Amsterdam to Madrid FIVE HOURS later. Whatever at least I was still going to make it there before the tour started the next morning. So I finally get to Madrid and find the Hotel. Down in the lobby I meet some of the other people on the trip and get some sleep to start early the next morning.

You set the bar I could not live up to
Tonight the light is breaking through
So thank you very little and send me postcards from hell"

Those I can't post here
We had some free time in Barcelona (I didn't bother since it was only a few hours) and in Benidorm we had a night to explore the city. Not enough time to really see and do much, but my "city exploring" this time around was NYC. I'll make it back to SPain and Europe eventually, I figure with the parks out of the way i won't have to sweat those the next time around.

Great pictures again I love the Museum! I need to go there sometime!
The earth is round.... or so i've found.
Mary Poppins with Supernanny! That is awesome!
Great pictures of NYC and the Cyclone is an extremely rough ride. Do they still let you go for free if you ride it again immediately?
How much do we have to pay to get MiceChat Old?![]()

Great report! Looking forward to the rest![]()
Day 5: Isla Magica
So After the hell that was getting to Spain, it was time for the first day of the tour! We woke up way to early to take a bullet train from Madrid to Sevelle and a bus to get to the first park Isla Magica! When we arrived we got the surprise that the park would let us get to experience their two newest attractions for 2007 before they opened to the public.
First up was their new 4-D cinema showing two different movies. The first movie they showed us was really really good called (isnert snickering here) Haunted Mansion where you were a cat exploring a haunted mansion on a dark and stormy evening (insert wet "cat" jokes here) it was really long and had some great effects. Then they had to ruin it with some conservation film about how humans are destorying nature. blah blah blah, the movie sucked.
Thankfully after that they lead us over to Captain Balls (AKA Captain Balas) which was a really well done interactive shooting dark ride that pees on you (not really, but hitting certain targets triggered water effects) It sat four people facing away from each other and slowly spun the whole way through. I did pretty damn good to (1030 or something like that)
On to some pictures!
The park was decently themed
This was the exterior to their theatre
IMax, 3-D, 4-D, Dark ride? We got ya covered in one building
Most impressive themeing of the trip hehe
Looking from the back of the park to the entrance across the lake
Oh yeah, I'm here for the coasters. This is an SLC with a bonus helix! (which happened to be the smoothest part of the ride...)
Random waterfall walkthrough thingie that shot water up your shorts, which was more then welcome being over 105°F out
Drying off or trying to pay for the trip...?
Drop tower that runs different programs each hour. Good thing they have a sign out front telling you which program runs at what time. It's pretty cool and the clearence was inSANE as people in our group easily touched the top of the "Castle" with their foot. Won't see that in America.
Other random rides to note were the flume, the rapids, the Disco, and The craziest knock off of Indiana Jones I probably will ever ride. Basically they had a good collection of rides. The flume had a few big drops and got people pretty wet. the Rapids didn't soak us which was good and bad being as hot as it was. The Indiana Jones ride was themed to dueling gods (I think) and you had to survive 10 "challenges" but we only counted 7 and it was SO random, the cars looked like the Flinstones cars and bounced around like Indy cars. Part of the ride was outside and it must have had a pretty decent budget for a park of that size.
After the park it was time to Bullet back to Madrid and rest for the next park the next night!

Day 6: Part one Parque de Atracciones Madrid
Another bright and early day, but this time it was just a bus ride away into Madrid to head off to Parque de Atracciones. This morning we had scheduled ERT on El Abismo and Tarantula, two of the park's bigger roller coasters.
We got there Early and the rides just teased us not being open yet
They had little vending machines that had the weirdest stuff.
Abismo ready to eat your babies
Tornado blows. OK not really but it wasn't that great.
Pure unadultrated Evil lives in this building
We look so ignorant and happy to be riding the horsies.
That was right before the ride started and smacked our balls for about 5 minutes.
Literally.
Ouch.
YAY old school Huss Frisbees! This one was themed to machinery.
Tarantula is a spinning Maurer Söhne that goes REALLY fast
More ABismo. The ride was really fun, it only had lapbars and the lift is the first inversion. Kinda scray the first time you ride
They also had an Intamin second gen freefall which was closed most likely due to the accident at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom
Ghetto Jungle cruise!
YAY Exposed wires in the apes neck!
Natives
Hippos that blew bubbles...
Elephants bathing, I wonder where they get there ideas from?
"Dirty bastrad!!"
Remember the evil building? The one of the globe? Yeah, small world rip off.
My favorite is the Statue of Liberty holding a coke and a burger
This doesn't look like Madrid, did we take a wrong turn somwhere?
Welcome to London
I saw London I see France, I see A GIANT BABY BOTTLE ABOUT TO ATTACK THE MOULIN ROUGE!!
"My what a big head you have." "That's what he said."
So long, farewell, auf Wiedersehen, goodbye
WORLD HUNGRY!*chomp* *chomp* *chomp*
The park was much nicer then I was expecting, which seemed to be a common theme on this trip.
Next it was off to Zaragoza for yet another Parque de Atracciones. But that'll be later.
