Florida theme park offers bloody crucifixion performances

Florida theme park offers bloody crucifixion performances

I have nothing to add, just thought I'd share it.
Don't forget to check out the CNN video on the park that's on the page.

    Wonder if they have APs

    IMO - YMMV - FYIGM

*Rolls eyes* Holy Land may try to make things interesting, it's still a church you have to pay for.
Disney and Universal fan for life!...Shocking ain't it?

This "Park" has been in the news for years. The headline
is certainly attention getting, they could have just as well
used "You Can't handle the Truth". I wonder if the title of
the article is in the Park brochures.

Looks like it's turning a Passion Play, or "The Passion of the Christ"
into an extended experience, looks like you are taking a step back
in time to the other side of the world.

I didn't realize that Trinity Broadcasting took over this project.
And it certainly looks more respectable than the old theme park
    run by the Bakker's/Falwell.

Believe it or not, the park has APs.

I went there in April 2005. Basically, I thought it was church with a $30 admission fee.

I remember hearing about this awhile back...if I posted how I felt , I believe I'd offend someone but I'll just write that this place is a waste of space.

Now, I'll turn that little mouse's dream into a nightmare Fantasmic!

As already stated, most people just call those "passion plays," but if you insist on coming up with a "provocative headline," that doesn't quite do the trick I suppose...

I love the fact Holy Land has earned a place on Roadside America's site (which showcases the creepy and amusing kistch of America).

This place really should nab the licensing rights to use Rodd, Todd, and Ned Flanders as costumed characters. It seems to me like the target audience.
Forget 'Great Moments With Mr. Lincoln,' Samantha Brown is Disney's most sophisticated animatronic.

I thought that place was supposed to close about a year or two ago.

How is that different from any other church these days?

We'll you don't get bloody crucifixion re-enactments at normal churches. I'd pay 30 bucks to see that. I wish they built some rides though. PS I'm not religious.

    I can see it now...

"Coming soon to the Holy Land Experience: The Holy Roller Coaster!"

If they did build a coaster, I'd probably get an AP.

I don't know. I bet they would not maintain a coaster properly. If you crashed and died they would probably say it is all God's will and part of some plan.

This "park" is the embodiment of all that is wrong with the christian religion these days.

"Wanna buy some Jesus T-shirts? Wanna buy some Jesus movies? Wanna buy some tickets to a Jesus Theme Park?" What in the world?
