Re: Halloween Horror Nights 17: Carnival of Carnage

Just a teeny tiny trip report from HHN on yesterday 10-11-07.

Started off with the Nightmare on Elm Street Dreamwalkers house. I really enjoyed this house as it was the only one so far to genuinely scare/startle me more than a few times of the 7 houses I've done so far. Man oh man towards the end of that house the peeps behind HHN really found some seriously foul smelling scents for that house. I don't know (or think I want to know) what they used or what it was, but I was glad it was used only near the end, and welcomed the exit into fresh air. I also just wish there was a way to light up good ole Freddy a little more when he attacks you numerous times, as it's very hard to actually see his face and outfit.

I vid taped the entire "Regurgitator" Stevie Starr show tonight. This show was my most anticipated show of HHN and he didn't let me down. The entire show (chopped up in 3 parts) can be seen at http://themeparkvids.phanfare.com/album/420571/595520

For anyone interested, I also taped the whole Jack's Carnival of Carnage show with my vid cam. http://themeparkvids.phanfare.com/al...ageID=28704590

Boy was I wrong about assuming it was ok to tape at Rocky Horror in my previous post/s, this usher there last night just couldn't wait to yell at me for vid taping. I just had to laugh at this guy's attitude since it, and he were a total joke, since there were other vid cameras in the crowd taping, as well as plenty of still cams in vid mode. I managed a couple clips as well as some more pics from the show.

I also was able to get some atmosphere footage from a couple of places in the park, as well as a few more pics too.

Erm.... there aren't any strong scents in that house, besides the fog. Whatever you smelt, I don't think Universal put it there.

Stevie Starr really was crazy. His act wasn't as bad as it sounded, thankfully.

Woo-hoo! As twisted as this movie is, for some reason I just love it (I have the 25th anniversary DVD). Guess there's something about Tim Curry in lipstick and fishnet.
