I'm not sure where you tried to buy your tickets from. But Ticketmaster has a print-at-home ticket option. I've been told that after Labor Day (Sept. 3) there will be a field on the page where you can enter in the Burger King discount code without needing the coupon.

I didn't look at Ticketmaster's international rules, but if you only tried to buy directly from Knotts, this may be another option for you.

    Good Luck!

I usually get tickets VIA Ticketmaster, like a week before the event.

Just a little extra advice, do the Log Ride and Mine Train first, and then hit the mazes from back to front as most of the crowd will start at the front and head towards the back.
When it comes to the hanging get there early, take a seat on the fence in the front and your time will be much easier spent.

Hope it helps and have a great time, Haunt is so much fun!

Does anyone know exactly how much the VIP pre-scare dinner buffet is? In the past I have always just done general admission, but every year the scalpers get worse and worse with buying up all the tickets, so my friends and I are looking to do the VIP treatment. Any info would be helpful.

the VIP buffet is 35.02 for 2 people

Quite a few of the local So Cal Burger King's also have discount coupons for Haunt tickets now, so that'll save you anywhere from 10$ on up on your admission to the park, depending on what night you're going.

Wow! In my 15+ years of going to Haunt I have never seen or heard of scalpers selling tickets.

when i went for the first time in 1982 or 83 (long time ago, i can't remember! lol) my grandfather didtn' want to go into the park after seeing all teh "kids" in line to get in, so he scalped his ticket and sat on a bench waiting for me outside of Virginia's Gift Shop until i was ready to go home....this was back in the day when you could send your 11 or 12 year old into the park themself...of course i was completely terrified of everything but the old school style hanging they used to have with the processional and hanging of the green witch....

...which imho, they should bring back!

Oh yea, even fake tickets. You use a lighter to test them, but I don't remember what result you were to look for.

Really?? The past few years have been horrid. Last year, we got there as it was opening and we saw about 3 or 4 scalpers who each had 75-100 tickets left. They had been selling for a few hours and still had that many left. It just kinda irks me how bad Knotts is about controlling their own event. The streets are a complete zoo, they allow scalpers to buy up a good percentage of the tickets, they don't set up adequate lines to get in creating a mob of people all cutting in front of one another and the back not moving at all.

That's why I'm doing the pre-scare buffet to surpass most of these issues. Will be parked earlier, in the park without fighting mobs, and have my tickets beforehand so I don't need to spend $80 a ticket. Although, this will destroy my tradition of eating at the BBQ place in the Ghost Town. We'd get a table on the patio in the middle of the scare zone and watch people get scared as we ate. True dinner theatre.

Not to mention how many people they cram into the park. I seem to remember they controlled the amount of people so it wasen't such a madhouse years ago. You're right, its an utter mob scene waiting to enter. I'm going this year for the first time in about 4 years. I won't go on a Friday or Saturday night...I have better things to do then wait 2hrs for a maze.

Also, what the heck is up with their website? No info on the haunt and it starts in just over 3 weeks. I know there are unofficial sites listing the mazes, but come on Knott's...get with the program.

^It is extremely strange, especially considering that Cedar Point and Dorney (starts next week) not to mention Valleyfair!, Worlds of Fun, Carowinds, and Kings Island (starts in two weeks) all have their sites up and running.
