I can always remember Knott's having their site up by late august/first week of september....this year both they AND Universal Hollywood are dropping the ball imho, those sites better be worth the wait.

I checked today and Knott's has their site for the Haunt up and running.
27 more days for me!!! I haven't been to Knott's or the Haunt in about 5-6 years, so I'm really excited.
Of the mazes that are returning, are there any ones you'd recommend and any that were disappointing?
I would recomend against Lost Vegas and Feary Tales if possible. Lore of the Vampire is old but still can have good parts, but Lost and Feary are plain and filled with more lame jokes rather than real scares.
I recommend ALL mazes and rethemed rides. You never know how one maze will do the following year. It can be filled with great talent or poor talent. Look what happened to Curse of the Spiderwoods! It was once a crappy old "scare experience", but then it turned into one of the best mazes at Knott's Scary Farm!
There was a maze last year behind camp snoopy using the stage coach trail that was the single worst maze of the last 15 years for me!
Very little props, lazy monsters, and this stupid lazer gun for rent. If its back again this year, avoid it at all cost! As for the best, the same maze can be great one year, or horrible next. The old Calico Mine Ride was once the most amazing re-themed ride!!! In the last 5 years, I could sleep through it.
One thing I have noticed, and I am quite thankfull for, is more FEMALE monsters! I have been going every year for 15 years. When I 1st started going, there was only 1 female monster, a bride. She was there for YEARS, freaking guys out by the BBQ. In recent years, the male/female mix is almost 50/50, and they are good! The hotty vamps they have in the vampire maze in CampSnoopy are great!
Im going on the 3rd this year with some 1st time visiters. Im waiting to see how the new park owners treat the haunt, and how they react.
No. Lore is not in the stage coach track. This was some alien invasion theme or something with laser guns you can rent.
I like Lore, but I think it should be retired since its been in the Haunt for many many years. Time for something new.
That was the last thing that I went through last year. There wasn't any line and I didn't get a lazer and it was more funny than anything. I will definitely skip it this year.
Now, I'll turn that little mouse's dream into a nightmare Fantasmic!
Who is exicted for THE HANGING!!!!!!!!!
I personally loved that show last year; it was the first year I went to Haunt. Ofcourse it is a bit more fun when you know several of the cast members in the show. However, I thought the show quality was great!
the hanging is fun, but imho i miss the old school hanging of the green witch with the processional and all which was all serious and didn't have the comedic display that the current hanging does....but the current hanging is a great show with fantastic choreography and stunts.....
....who do you think they will hang this year?
i've got 5 bucks on lindsay lohan![]()
Im sure there will be an entire section too the debu-sluts, Paris, Britney, Lohan and the rest. Im looking forward too them getting it.
I truly do miss Freddy though. Its simply not a hanging without him... Also last year I think they changed the two main actors/hang masters? I really liked the old school Freddy and Hangman...
So far, I think the best maze ever, was a Spider maze that was built in the old haunted shack they recently ripped out for some stupid pay ride. The maze started unlike any other in a big room AKA HauntedMansion. The lights went dark, and a small childs voice sings "Itsy bitsy spider" and they lower strings onto everyone! During the screaming, the lights come on to review a GIANT spider above everyone that was not there earlier! VERY cool effect that I did not expect from Knotts! The highest show value ever!! I only saw this maze one year. Sad that I only went once, and then it was gone.
I also remember an early year, they built a stage ABOVE the main entrance, and they had a small stage show above the people waiting to get into the park! Very cool, and seen never again. Its always the cool stuff that seems deemed too risky and never done again.
A good example of that is monsters in the Queue for the Calico Mine Ride! There was 3 monsters, in wet suits, in the water and waterfall before you go into the shack of the loading station. They had a head on a rope they would swing at the line. Created a LOT of nice scare moments, but in a confined, wet, cold space, im sure it was not the safe thing for both the people in the line, and the wet monsters in the nasty water![]()
Wow, that sounds awesome!!! Too bad they dont have that anymoreSo far, I think the best maze ever, was a Spider maze that was built in the old haunted shack they recently ripped out for some stupid pay ride.
