Dude, the ride is 14 years old and feels like it, it's time for a change.

Why would you close a show that is still very popular?

Before you start touting age as a reason for replacement, know your facts.

Killing BTTF makes about as much sense as when the Peoplemover was needlessly killed for the Rocket Rods. The similarities are remarkably striking. No real improvement or replacement, just a simple-minded out with the old & in with the new superficial "addition". Maybe the Simpsons ride won't fracture anything and need to be removed after 2 years of hardly working, but it's so frustrating to see many of the same stupid thinking and mindless mistakes being made all over again...

RIP Back to the Future - I'll be there to say goodbye tomorrow.

Future has run it's course just as Star Tours has but, USH dosen't have the room to spare to build new attractions so Marty and the gang got there walking papers to make room for Bart and his crew.

At USH it's all about the space issues.

Popular? Went on it last Sunday around 1pm, temp nearing 100 degrees, less than 5 minute wait. Hardly call that popular.

[quote=Diznyfan;2115267]I dont think an attraction with a movie element can become a classic because it becomes dated too easily. But any ride whose main show element is a movie IMO can never stick around very long.[quote]

Peter Pan, Snowhite, Pinocchio....guess these rides should close down since they have a movie element. These rides have been around for how many years?

JP's ride capacity is similar to POTC's so if the ride is running without problems combined with USH's lower attendence, walk on is normal.

    Trust me on this one.

7 hours and 31 minutes left until closure from this post...

They have TWO domes.... one side should be simpsons, the other should remain BTTF.

I'm leaving here in about 5 minutes to head on up to USH and get my last final rides....

^ Nice call. I think there were rumors long ago about something like that. But then both lines would probably be even longer... who knows...

I just got back from USH...and aside from it being VERY HOT...it was fun...when I first got there at about 11am the wait time for BTTF was 25 minutes, but it wasn't really (it got to about a 45 -50 minute wait by the time I left)...that was my third time and have to say that the ride has run it's course and had a great run...but it's time to replace it...but are they truly just going to give the ride vehicles different exteriors , change the movie, and the exterior signage? The reason why I say this is that ride is when you're in that room waiting to get into the vehicle...it feels like the whole building vibrates...I think the building needs to be gutted out and start anew for the Simpsons ride.

During the ride cycle the building experiences the forces of a 5+ on the Richter scale earthquake, so that rumble is normal.

Can you imagine the logistical problems of having two seperate attractions right next to each other.

    Can you say Nightmare

Besides, there aren't enough vehicles per dome, the wait times would be stupid crazy.

Saying Jurassic Park River Adventure isn't popular is like saying Haunted Mansion isn't popular... You're talking two people eating attractions.

Yes, so being there opening day makes you an authority on wait times for a ride? I was there also for opening day of JP as well as opening day for BTTF. That still doesn't make it clear why JP has a walk on line.
