No, the fact that I was a lead and the head ride ops trainer at JP for 3 year makes me an authority on wait times at the ride.

JP has an hourly capacity of 2500-3000 people per hour depending on number of boats on line and dispatch times. Now combine that with USH's lower attendance and you have a ride that can cycle the entire parks attendance in 3-4 hours.

Is that good enough for you now?

    No it's not.

Why is TacAlert so eager to call 3rdshiftCM out??

JP actually doesn't do more than 2400 hour, but I still agree with the point. It was designed to do 3000, but that was with 30 second dispatches (and 100% full 25 guests per boat). They later had to slow the dispatch time down a bit because 30 seconds proved to be too much of a strain on the ride figures (they couldn't get through their cycle and look natural in 30 seconds).

2200 - 2300 is typical on a summer day, occasionally inching up to 2400+. Still a pretty good volume considering the number of guests in the park.

They still couldn't get through their cycles even with the 5 minute wait. Before our boat got to the drop, we saw the entire dinosaur sequence reset itself, then our boat started again towards the drop.

I am not trying to call him out. I just think it is funny that a person who worked on a ride calls themselves an authority.

I find it funny that a person that has no idea whom he's talking to would act like they have any clue.

The Timing of drop 3 is about water levels and boat position and is all computer controlled. Even if the lead dosen't get there drop control lights, the animation cycle is sensor triggered so T-2 will cycle no matter what.

Besides when the ride is walk on the boats are dispached faster so there is greater chance of a back up.

Whether the line is long or short, the boats don't dispatch any faster. They are controlled by computer. You can't send two boats up the first lift at once and the lift doesn't move any faster whether there is 1 or 25 people in the boat. If you have ever read all my posts about USH, I used to work there and was in management in both Merchandise and then Operations before I left after the opening in 1996. I was part of the opening team for JP so I know how it works. That is why I have a clue about how the ride operates. Trust me on this one (again).

Let's agree we are BOTH authorities on the ride. :>)

Getting back to BTTF........what were we talking about again?

No. You are not an authority in any respect.
