Alright, im not trying to support Universal here. But how is Revenge of the Mummy more tame that Thunder Mountain and Space Mountain? Those are probably some of the most tame rollercoasters around, where the theming around it adds to it.

I belive on the launch (even though its slower than CA screamn) you may lose you stomach more since you launch of immediatly at 45 mph. But there are absolutley no drops, the only drops there are are secretly hidden within the turns and they are more of a hill than a drop. The coaster part of the ride is about 40 seconds long.

Can't speak for the CA versions, but WDW's Space is anything but tame. Definitely higher on the intensity ladder than Mummy.

This is the funniest thing I've read all year. There is no way that WDW's Space Mountain is more intense than USF's Mummy. Mummy goes much faster than 27 miles an hour and the dips and turns are much more drastic. I love Space Mountain, but it is nowhere near as intense as the mummy.

well the one is CA is too damn short. I felt like this ride could of been much longer but is not. Wasn't E.T. the ride much longer? anyways, i always end up hurting my neck when you make a sudden stop just before going backwards. and the whole backwards part doesn't even last much.

overall, its ok for a first time but not worth the 45 mins or more wait.

I thought it was pretty cool while I was on it but the fact that it finished a few seconds after I thought that left me with a new thought, "That's it!?!?"

Try the back seat of WDW's Space Mountain, it is far from a pleasant experience. My neck hurt really bad last time I rode WDW's Space in the back seat.

Regardless of which ride goes faster and does this or that, Space Mountain always makes me sick (and sometimes even makes me feel like I was just in a car wreck, quite frankly.) Mummy does not. Your mileage may vary, but either way, I don't find my statement funny at all.

Strange. I tend to get motion sickness very often and Space Mountain has never once bothered me. Is it bumpy as hell? Yes, but its still a kiddie coaster in the dark. I've ridden childrens coasters at smaller amusement parks that are more thrilling in their turns, banks, and drops.

The mummy always leaves me with a highly elevated heart rate when I get off. To each his own I guess.

Re: Revenge of the Mummy: The Ride

I've only been on the Mummy once, and it was right when it opened, so forgive me if things have changed since then.

There were NO drops. All if did was go very fast, then you wait and watch some little movie, then go backwards, watch another movie, and then you're done. Waste of time in my book. (and I don't even like coasters with big drops!)

As for the story of the ride, it was completely unresolved. Pretty much:
"I HAVE YOUR SOUL...Good-bye (and don't forget to visit our gift shop!)"

I would NEVER ride this ride again. As for space mountain, at least that one takes you up, down, and all around. The speed may not be the same but that is the only thing mummy has going for it.

If you like this ride, great! But it's not for me at all, and it sounds like I'm not alone.

I agree completely with quasimodo up there ^

I had more fun waiting in line with my friends than on the ride itself....

I agree with most of the other comments. Way too short, but enjoyable all the same. Not too intense. I wouldn't like to stand in line for an hour to ride it though.
