the mazes are open as well, but you'll find they are not quite as populated as they are once the main gates open, which could lead you to not enjoy them as much. I would highly recommend doing the Mine Ride and Log Ride first, then starting into the mazes.
Will there be screams when the sun sets, -=Is It October Yet?=-

I've been to Haunt 3 nights so far. On each night (9/27, 9/28 and 10/5) Pre-Scare and VIP got into the park around 6:15 pm, and the general public around 6:30. Kinda makes me wonder why I pay for VIP Dinner/Early Entry.....

Thanks, Jack, for a great report. Your pictures, of course, are always stunning. We had a great time. I've been to the Haunt several times over the years but this was the best time I've ever had there. I think it was the company.
I saw that same girl at the Doll Factory maze, and thought she was equally amazing. We went through again mainly hoping to see her again (and we weren't disappointed)!
This gal is a Cedar Fair staple, if she is who I think she is. Cedar Point has a gentleman ghost character who does a very similar schtick, though he's not in a maze, he's a free-roaming Screamster. He never says a word, and his motions are so fluid it makes them even creepier. I had the opportunity to speak with him last October - he was filling in as a ride host during the day - and asked him where he picked up the routine, was it scripted, taught to him by someone, etc. He told me two years previous, he was sent to Knott's to learn new routines for the new mazes they would be haivng at CP the following year, and he was able to work with a girl who did the silent, blank and exceeedingly creepy routine. At the time, she was a zombie, not a doll, but I'd imagine she's the one who is the doll girl, or else the doll girl got the same training the gentleman ghost did...
