Unfortunately, UO was recently used as the backdrop for the real thing. Haven't seen it yet (and I'm not going to), but I heard it was god awful.

I like it. The ground would be like a wrestling mat I suppose? The background is excellent, too bad this isn't for a WWE show. There are great materials for a ladder a match in that setting.

The big problem I see is the size of the props they use on the show. If they were to create a theme park adaptation, it would have to be woefully scaled down.

I saw the trailer or TV spot. Yeah, I recognized UO in the background. Even though the series may, and probably is, bad, at least Universal could market to the cheerleadering crowds. That was my main aim.

Or new and specially created stunts just for the theme park version... Fear Factor didn't copy an exact stunt from the TV series.

But unlike Fear Factor's stunts, American Gladiators has a set of well known competitions that are used in every episode. People will probably expect to see them.

I'm still surprised Universal even created Fear Factor Live. The show was never really that popular and they created it just as it was going off the air.

I think Universal has a great oppertunity to really take advantage of this oppertunity to use synergy.

The current show is being filmed at USH. And having an interactive show at USH ans USO that would act as an 'audition tape' would be fantastic! It would only help everyone all around!

Actually, many years ago, there was a short-lived American Gladiators show on 192 near Old Town, I never actually went to it though. I think it turned into a UFO frizbee golf place or something wacky after that.

I always wanted to go to that AG dinner show, but never ended up making it there. I think that old theater was also used for taping a roller derby show for TNN(Spike) after it filmed a little while at USF also.

I had a feeling you were going to say that.

They Should bring back The Wild wild..... Stunt show .I was in the cast as Claude many yrs ago in the spanish shows when they used to do that in the summer months. The reason its gone is that Westerns isnt popular anymore thats why USH takes its attractions/shows goes off the Pop Factor.
