Thumbs up El Capitan - Where are the best seats?

Thinking about buying VIP tickets to Disney's El Capitan, in Hollywood. Where are the best seats? First row in the orchastra ... second row ... first row in the balcony, etc? For $26/ticket, I want to get the best seats we can.

It seems the floor would be best for the preshow, but it also seems the first row would be too close to the movie screen ... where are the best seats, in your opinion?

I like the 2nd or 1st row balcony. The floor isn't that bad, about 1/2 way back.

Re: El Capitan - Where are the best seats?

Seconded on the 1st or 2nd row balcony. The steps are really narrow as you get higher; I've eaten it coming down the stairs TWICE (at the same movie - Pirates 3!!). There's also a rubber thing on the edge that I imagine is supposed to help with the traction, but it actually caused me to fall.

The only thing I don't like about the orchestra seats is that since it's not stadium seating (which isn't a bad thing), if someone tall sits in front of me, I pretty much have a view of the back of their head during the movie. *shrug*

My usual spot is 2nd row balcony. First row dose not have as much leg room.
