You going to be there on October 8th? I've got a great one for that day.

K, you'll have to find me near the end of the night since that's when I'll bring it out.

Re: Best Time to Go to Knott's Scary Farm?

Again thanks for the great help all!

Here is another question:
I will be attending the VIP Pre-Scare Buffet at 5:00, mainly for the extra 1/2 hour bonus park time. I heard that I should head to the log ride and the mine ride first, as those will be the slowest moving lines in the park when at their busiest. After riding both, I am going to head to Quarantine as well as the other new mazes. Next, I will try the older mazes, because they probably won't have as long of lines as the newer ones. If I get through the mazes I was planning to try before the end of the night, I am going to ride some rides like GhostRider and Xcelerator, etc.

I will also sprinkle a few shows in here and there, but I am definately going to see the Hanging.

How does that sound? Any suggestions or modifictaions (If nescesary) to my schedule would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you so much again for all your guy's help. This is going to be my first year at the Haunt, so I want to make it as great as it can be!

Actually, I prefer the first 30 -40 minutes doing true mazes, the new ones first.

Then get in line for the Mine Train (tends to have longer lines than the Log Ride) when the "regular" folks get into the park.

Re: Best Time to Go to Knott's Scary Farm?

the only problem with hitting the mazes up first is that some of the talent isn't in place until 7pm, so you might find yourself wondering "where are the monsters" if you go thru some of the mazes first

Hmm, thank you for the tip! I think I am going to follow my original plan then and go on the Mine and Log Ride in the early entrance time, then head to Quarantine and so on...

Re: Best Time to Go to Knott's Scary Farm?

btw, from what i've been hearing the new mazes are amazing in both set design and talent. Haunt had their dress rehearsal nights the last 2 nights and there's lots of positive responses from the people who went.

I think Haunt 2008 will be a banner year

Re: Best Time to Go to Knott's Scary Farm?

Tip for everyone.

If your expecting to pay full price then pick up the coupons from work/burgerking for both haunt and a regular day in the park.

There is currently a discount for 19.99 if you go after 4pm.
Follow that up with your haunt discount at i believe 32.99 and you have the usual haunt ticket price.

now the advice part...
Go to the park at 4 and use the after 4pm coupon and go on all the rides you can (the park is dead in October... no pun intended)
Leave and get dinner or something at 6 when the park closes and go back in for haunt at 7. then go on all the mazes and watch the shows.

basically what I'm saying is don't do the rides during haunt (especially the non themed ones) because youll just be wasting your maze and show time waiting in those lines.
