New Kids on the Block in Vegas Baby!!!!

Yes, that's right. You read that correctly. I did in fact go see New Kids on the Block in Vegas!!!

They performed at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center Saturday night (10/11) and i went with my sister and 3 of my best friends!
We had a blast!

We stayed on Freemont Street at the Vegas Club Hotel. It was just ok. It wasn't amazing, it wasn't dirty and it wasn't in any way a nice hotel, it was just ok. I was looking for cheap because it was only a one night trip and the entire reason for the trip was the concert, so we really didn't care where we stayed.

So we drove up early Saturday morning from Southern CA, got into Vegas at about 2pm (after a pit stop for a late breakfast at Denny's in Barstow), and we were checked into our room by 3.
No pics of the hotel because well, as you know, it's a hotel. It's Vegas. It wasn't a fancy hotel, so nothin really exciting to see...yadda yadda yadaa...

We treated ourselves to the prime rib buffet dinner at the Golden Nugget and then we jumped into a cab to take us to Mandalay Bay...where the REAL magic happened....oooohhh.....

My favorite part of the show is when they are escorted to a mini revolving stage in the middle of the floor seats where they sing a few songs including my favorite one "Tonite"! Look how close we are!





Well, that's all the pics. After the show we were exhausted from dancin and singin thru all the songs so we decided to call it a night. It was about 1am anyways. Sad to say my voice is still partially gone and my throat is sore from screaming.
We took a taxi back to our hotel, crashed out for the night and came home the next day after a nice breakfast at another hotel which i can't remember the name of right now.

I do want to say this though.
I was a hardcore fan of these guys as a kid so my opinion may be slightly swayed, but i have to say that this was THE best concert i have ever been to!
They performed for a full 3 hours and left NO stone unturned. Full choreography for EVERY song, costume changes left and right and soo much energy. You could really tell that they honestly love what they do and are happy to be back doing it for their devoted fans.
They sang all their hits from their new album and ALL of their classics as well.
They even incorporated a few of their solo hits from when they branched off. Joe McIntire sang "Stay the Same" and Jordan Knight sang "Give It To You".

All of it was amazing and their voices are still incredible!!!!

That was crazy!

We didn't go to the after party at LAX. We were tooo exhausted from the actual show.
It was insane! Girls were screaming soo loud that they had to wait to sing a few songs!!!

If you were a fan and remember their music as much as I did, you REALLY need to attempt to make it to their show now!
They are amazing! Their voices haven't changed, they've still got the energy and they are just sooo happy to be singing together again!

It was emotional for me becuase i was such a huge fan back then and when they came to LA for their tour when i was young, my Mom wouldn't let my sister or I go because she thought we were too young for a concert. I understand because i was only 12 and my sister was only 8 and we would have been going with our friend and her mom. My mom was just not ready for that yet.

But now, i finally get to go and re-live all those amazing memories i had of them.
It was just soo special to me!

Good to hear the concert was good... New Kids on the Block was my first cassette tape I ever had... I got it from my babysitter... I played that thing to the ground... lol...
