Wild Animal Park -11/2/08(PIC HEAVY)

I am typing this on 11/3..but the trip was 11/2.

the weather looked bad but it held out as I got there at around 9:30am
the wild animal park was decorated for Pumpkins at the Park, which involved both visitors and animals in the fun.
It was way different than going in the spring or summer. the cold weather and rain seemed to bring out the energetic side in animals as I saw many of the animals running around in thier habitats instead of stadning in one place

The Journey into Africa tour wasnt bad..just they need to expand it so the other animals can be seen instead of being,in a way, not able to be seen( some of the animals on the old tram tour are in areas where the tracks were removed and where the new tour cant go to

Overall...besides the rain and the afternoon crowding of people in costume(17 and under), and the loud squaking of the Flamingoes..it was a pretty cool day

This is one place I have yet to go... nice pictures... I have heard so much about the wild animal park and have always wanted to go visit it. My mother has numerous stories about the many times she has taken a visit there.

Very nice! My son and I are planning a trip in the near future. It's been quite awhile since I've been there.

I loved the animal park. I wish i had more time to walk around and enjoy the exhibits though. We went for a tour and right after the tour everyone wanted to leave. So, we had maybe an hour before the tour started to walk around. It wasn't enough time.

I have an annual pass to both the SD Zoo and the WAP (Wild Animal Park). I love going there on the weekdays and just walking around. Its a really gorgeous park, and its been getting a lot of attention and new attractions lately.

I was actually surprised by this as usually pics taken by this camera are usually blurry.
And the fact I was able to take pics of some of the birds without them being frightened or walking away
